My Cozy & Zen Desk Setup Tour (in the Studio)!

Hi everyone! Maisy here, founder & creative director of Cozyleigh 🍃

Over this past year, I've been designing our studio space from the ground up. What was once a cold, concrete rectangle is now a cozy little haven that makes you feel calm and inspired the second you walk in.

Oh man... we moved furniture all over the place and kept rearranging things all year until it finally felt just right. And now, a year later, I can finally say I'm in love with how it turned out. It really feels like Cozyleigh Studios.

I wanted to start here, with my new cozy office corner inside the studio.

I'll go through my desk in little sections so it's easy to follow. Honestly, this setup was harder to design than my desk at home, because I didn't want this one pushed up against the wall.

When your desk faces into a room, it actually has better feng shui. Your back is to the wall and you can see everything going on around you. But it also means the whole setup has to be extra clean and intentional, or it can start to look messy really fast.

This is where I spend my days in the studio when I'm not working with my hands in the workshop or relaxing in the lounge. I can't wait to keep making new Cozyleigh pieces right here 🤍

Standing Desk

Ergonofis Sway Desk in Maple

I love how this desk feels more like furniture than an office desk. The maple is so warm, and it kind of anchors the whole space.

The pillars inside the shelf actually move, so you can arrange it however you like. I keep books in mine, but honestly I just love looking at it.

I use this to show off my favorite reads, or whatever book is inspiring me right now. I really believe that keeping things out, but giving them a home, makes a space feel calmer. And it helps me actually remember they're there.

Cozyleigh Zen Keycaps

I designed these in all my favorite earthy colors, olive, matcha, peach and terracotta, so they feel like a little landscape under my fingers. Zen and cozy.

The artisan keycaps are illustrated by my sister Ash (@mysweetchubs), with tea, orchids and oranges.

I had a local granite shop cut this for me, and I love the earthy, grounding feeling it brings to the desk.

Mine actually broke 😭 I cracked it washing dishes in the sink, so I fixed it with kintsugi. And now it feels even more special to me.

I made this ikebana arrangement over Valentine's Day weekend, with a phalaenopsis orchid, willow branches and alstroemeria.

I'm still really new to flower design, but it's something I want to get better at. I love bringing a little bit of nature indoors and figuring out how to make it part of the space.
