Hi, we're Maisy, Tristan and Ashleigh.
We're a family. Together we design desk pieces and make them by hand in our own studio: desk mats, MagSafe charger stands, trays and solid-wood pieces.
Everything we make goes from our hands to your home.

@maisyleighMaisy cares about how a piece will feel long before anyone decides how it looks. Each one begins with a small, everyday moment she noticed, like setting your phone down at night, or the bookstand our mom had as a girl in Hong Kong, and she draws a shape around it. She chooses the colors, designs the card and the box it comes in, and hopes a little of that warmth finds its way to you.

@elmersworkshopTristan's care goes into the details you'll never see: how a magnet sits and how a joint closes. He prints each design again and again until it fits just so. In the woodshop he cuts every joint and wedge by hand, and likes to understand why a technique came about before he ever changes it.

@mysweetchubsThe card in every box is one of Ashleigh's illustrations, printed here in our studio. She also makes her own art as MySweetChubs, and brings much of the color and personality to what we make. In the studio she cleans up each print and fits every piece together, so what reaches you feels finished down to the smallest edge.

Our rescue pup and the coziest one in the studio. He keeps our boxes nicely compressed, demands his salmon chews right on time, and somehow makes a cozy studio even cozier. Every batch gets packed under his supervision.
How it started
A note from Maisy
From our family, to yours
In 2020 I was a front-end software engineer, working from home in the pandemic. I felt really confined by my job title. I wanted to design, to create, and to be in control of my own path. Most tech videos back then were black, white and very masculine, and that just wasn't me. So I started sharing my desk on YouTube, bright and warm, to show my cozy side inside the tech industry.
Not long after, I lost my mom. She'd always told me never to stop making videos, and making cozy spaces became how I coped. Two months later I quit my job to do YouTube full time and chase my dream of creating something of my own. At first that was going to be an app, then Wistful Orchids, a cozy pixel art video game. My sister Ashleigh drew its world, I designed it, and my partner Tristan engineered and coded it with me. It was our first idea of working together.
I knew I wanted to keep our family close, so Ashleigh and Tristan joined me. Nothing out there felt like us, so we started making our own, and Cozyleigh became the thing we build together.

Where it's made
Made in our own studio
We print, cut, sand and pack everything we make ourselves, right here. Nothing gets sent off to a factory. Two pieces are made with friends: the Zen Light by Gantri and Zen Keycaps by Osume, in our Made with Friends collection.
Where our ideas come from
Our roots
Maisy and Ashleigh's family comes from Hong Kong, and Tristan's is Filipino and Chinese. The ideas we keep coming back to, a raked garden, a tea bowl's lid, a small table you carry from room to room, come from East Asian homes, and we bring them into the rooms people live in today.
Old ways of making
Some of how we make things is centuries old, like the Japanese tusk tenon that holds our book stand together with no glue or screws. We learn why each technique came about and keep using it close to how it began, so these ways of making don't fade away.
Small rituals
Making something warm, sitting down at a calm desk, setting your phone down at the end of the day. Little things like these helped us heal.
