My Cozy & Zen Desk Setup Tour (in the Studio)!
Hi friends, Maisy here.
After a year of moving furniture around the studio, I finally wanted to share my office corner with you. Oh man, we rearranged things so many times before it felt right. Looking at it now, I'm really happy with how it's turned out.
This setup was a little harder to work out than my desk at home. I wanted it to face into the room instead of sitting against a wall, with my back to the wall and a view of the space around me. That placement mattered to me, but it also meant thinking about how the desk would look from more than one side.
It's where I spend time designing when I'm not in the workshop, so I wanted it to be comfortable to use, with plenty of things I enjoy having nearby. Here's a little walk through what's there.

The desk and chair
I chose the Ergonofis Sway Desk in Maple because it feels more like a piece of furniture than an office desk. I love the warmth of the maple in this corner.
My chair is the Steelcase Gesture in Persimmon. Comfort was important to me, and I like having that color alongside the wood.

The pieces we made
My Cozyleigh Desk Mat is in Matcha. It has two sides, and the Pro version gives our magnetic accessories a base to snap onto. I use the Zen MagSafe Charger Stand in Matcha for my phone and a Caramel puck for my AirPods.
The Zen Desk Shelf has movable dividers, so I can change the spaces underneath. I keep books in mine, but honestly, I also just enjoy looking at it.
I use the Zen Book Stand to keep favorite reads or a book that's inspiring me out where I can see it. Having a place for them helps me remember they're there, instead of putting them away and forgetting about them.

My keyboard corner
I'm using our Cozyleigh Zen Keycaps, made with our friends at Osume. I chose earthy colors I love, including olive, matcha, peach and terracotta. Ash illustrated the artisan keycaps with tea, orchids and oranges, so there's a little of her work here, too.
The keyboard is a Mode Loop TKL, the version that was no longer being made when I shared this setup. Beside it is a custom granite wrist rest I had cut by a local granite shop. I like how the stone feels alongside the wood and the colors on the keys.

A few things that aren't desk accessories
My Hasami mug cracked while I was washing dishes. I repaired it with kintsugi, and now it feels even more special to me.
The vase came from Etsy. Over Valentine's Day weekend, I made this ikebana arrangement with a phalaenopsis orchid, willow branches and alstroemeria. I'm still new to flower design, but I'd like to get better at it. I enjoy figuring out how to bring plants and flowers into the space, rather than treating them as something separate from the setup.
The books here include Ikigai, Shibui, A Dictionary of Color Combinations and The Courage to Be Happy.

The lights around it
Our Cozyleigh x Gantri Zen Light sits on the sideboard to the left. I love the soft glow it gives that part of the room. There's also a Gantri Cantilever Wall Light and an IKEA Paper Lantern overhead.
Seeing the pieces we designed alongside the books, flowers and everyday things I use is what makes this corner feel like mine. It took a lot of rearranging to get here, and I'm glad I gave myself time to figure it out.
Thank you for taking a look around. If you're starting a setup of your own, you can explore the Cozyleigh Ecosystem here, but you don't have to recreate my desk. I hope the tour gives you a few ideas for a space that suits you.
